INDIGO POWDER
Indigo powder is obtained by direct grinding of Indigo leaves and is used for dyeing of hair. Pioustree’s Indigo powder is 100% organic, chemical or preservative-free, and completely safe. It can be used frequently without any skin irritation. It is used with other powders like henna powder which helps in dyeing grey hair.
Indigo powder is a blue dye and direct application on hair will leave a blue tint. However, to get shades like brown or black, Indigo powder is used in combination with henna powder.
HOW TO USE
Black Hair Dyeing ->
- Treatment with Henna – Soak henna powder 200g with coffee water overnight. Coffee water imparts red color. Add yogurt to make a paste. Apply on hair for 40-50 minutes depending upon coloring requirement.
- Treatment with indigo-After rinsing let the hair dry. Mix indigo powder (approx. 200gms)in warm water to prepare a paste
Apply on hair. Leave for 45 minutes or more. To get a rich black color, keep it for 2 hours approx. Rinse and dry.
Brown Hair Dyeing –>
- Create a mixture of Henna powder and Indigo powder to get brown hair. Soak the mixture overnight along with tea water or coffee water. In
- Add a dash of lemon juice and yogurt.
- Apply the paste and leave for 2 hrs or till it gets dried on the scalp.
- Rinse well with water and dry.
