AMLA is considered as an important medicinal fruit in Ayurveda. It helps in balancing all three doshas i.e Vata, pitta, and Kapha in the body. It is one of the richest sources of vitamin- C along with abundant antioxidants which gives a boost to the immune system and rejuvenates your system.
Uses
Nutritive supplement: • AMLA can be consumed as a nutritional supplement by adding it to a glass of fresh juice for breakfast.
It can also be consumed by sprinkling it on fruits such as apple, banana, or papaya and having it as a mid-meal snack.
Face application: • AMLA powder mixed with raw honey is used to moisturize the skin.
Rose Water and AMLA powder can be mixed to be used as a skin cleanser.
Hair application: • It is mixed with coconut oil and massaged thoroughly on the scalp for hair growth.
Shikakai and Reetha can also be added to the mixture to give lustrous, shiny, and smooth hair
